My name is Marissa and I am just your average blue eyed blonde hair girl from Long Island, New York. I think that’s how people usually start these things. Well, what many people don’t really know about me is that I was born in New York, but I have lived many places. Right now I am attending college at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire.
This is my first year here and I absolutely love it. Since I have been here so many things have changed. I have grown up so much, I think it’s because its the first time in my life I haven’t been able to rely on my parents for everything. I originally came here to play lacrosse, and that didn’t work out. So I decided to join rugby, a sport I never foresaw myself playing. This hands down is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The team, game, and culture itself is just such a great experience I wish everyone could have. The actual reason I am here is to study nursing. Which has been something I have wanted for as long as I could remember. I am currently certified as a nurse’s aide, and just being in the atmosphere makes me excited of what is yet to come.
As you can probably tell I am a person who loves change, I love getting the chance to experience new things, people, and places. I also love being active, whether it’s playing a sport, or going to the gym. Working out is definitely the one thing that keeps me sane. I also have such a strong interest in the medical field. So I hope through my work I am able to incorporate my passions, and have you learn more about me. 🙂
